ok peeps, those of you who play joint ops, please send your favorite maps (i.e. working links to the map downloads).
i've gone searching for a few of mine... and come up empty!
i did find some others that look neat.
i think i'm looking for "black ops: hill 309" and the other one (also black ops, i think) that contains "hill 310 and 311" in the labels on the commanders map.
any nifty maps with multiple islands and lots of different options for how to get there, are cool too.

I have found some maps. First, the one with Hill 310 / 311 is called "BLack Ops: Island Paradise." I still don't know where to get "Black Ops: Hill 309" but the 4Q Backup server has it in regular rotation. I really like that map. Anyone know where to get it?
Another one that I have seen that looks nice is "Island Hopper" but the server I was on last night was hosed up at the end-game. The enemy helo's never showed up so we couldn't complete the mission. Also, there was one AI left at the far pier (last waypoint) and not only would he not die, but he wouldn't engage.

If I were you, Id grab anything with an HMS tag on it for starters. 3 squad mates and I spent the better part of 3 hours getting through his airport map. Very well done.

I will have to remember to grab the HMS maps... I have a list of like, 15 maps or so that look "must try" interesting, in addition his.

I would start it open with FF off. The AI make things challanging enough without worrying that your squad mate just ran into the path of a frag you threw. On a positive note, Ive played on servers with FF on and I havent run into the TK'rs I remember seeing in NOLF

i kind of like the realism that ff brings to the table. although having to get 150m from the frag is a bit tricky sometimes.
open it is until we find out whether that works. or i should say "will be"...
i have to kick some people off the machine i want to use.

ok, well, i did manage to reclaim my machine but now i have to decide whether to reinstall first or just add a drive and punt. i will probably add the drive and put the server up in time for memorial day weekend. i hope.
if it sucks, i'll be reinstalling to remove old crufty windows stuff.
in the meantime... if you are itching for a good server with team oriented regulars you can come find any of the 4Q clique on the 4Q Backup Server or 4Q Server. I'm "4Q f00 vhq"

Question, where can I get this "Team Talk". A while back I downloaded Roger Wilco but it got lost when I went to a new comp.

The Joint Ops peeps seem to use TeamSpeak. You can get a copy ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/releases/ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe
