Bloodrayne 2 is out (Oct 12 release)

Have there been any actual sightings in stores? Anyone given in to the urge yet and taken her out for a scream?

Mind you, there's no team play, which is a shame. Some of the maps in the predecessor would have been good for it. Others would have needed work, but I'm thinking a squad of dhampiress operatives raining death from above can't be all bad...

cate cate cate is great

I'd be interested to hear from people who acquire BR2... especially if you also played the original and can compare it without spoilers. and if anyone played the prequel I'd really appreciate someone telling me if its worth my time. I think it was called... Nocturne.

Gore fest!

If it would do any good I would file a formal complaint about not making a PC version of this game. It is only available for Playstation2 and Xbot!!! Gad, what a rip!!!!
My son got it the other day from EB (Electronic Boutique) and keeps telling me how great the game is. Is there a law or something that will allow me to disown him for parent abuse?
Ms. Rayne at game start wears (almost) an evening dress and does things to villains that makes the movie “Kill Bill” look like a first grader with a cut finger. I always believed the amount of blood in a person was measured in pints, not gallons, but the woman do enjoy her job.
There are bonus points for killing the baddies in new ways like impaling them on the scenery and onto, and into other things. Some get you points, some solve the puzzle.
She retained many of her old moves but has added as many especially her slice and dice. For pure gore she can’t be beat. Makes you want to become a dhampire yourself, or at least learn to work those damn Xbot controls just to play the game. I played Halo on his Xbot in co-op mode with my son, but never could get use to the controls like on my PC version. Guess I am just a die-hard PC’er.
Can’t wait for BloodRayne 2 to come to PC you bunch @#$ $$%%@, and the same goes for you Halo 2 @#$ &%**$ developers!!

I played Nocturne and it is like Link and Fallout Tactics. It’s like viewing from a 45 degree angle scroller. I was not impressed with it but played it because my son was trying to convert me. It failed.

Cool. Or, not, actually, but hopefully they will finish a PC release "soon" because a lot of us don't have the $$ to support a games-only platform.

Thanks for the info!

BloodRayne 2 demo is out for the PC

The Demo is the Mansion level where Rayne is wearing an evening gown that covers her for the most part. The one neat feature is that you are no longer restricted to viewing her from the back and somewhat of a side view. You can now zip all-a-round from almost any angle, but it takes some adapting to when in game play. The release date is “Early 2005” and maybe by then I will want to get out of the Mansion.

I would have attached a screen shot but can’t remember if we can, or how to do it in a post. So just go to www.bloodrayne2.com and download it if you can wait for a 487MB file.

The base requirements for the demo are:
DEMO SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
1ghz processor
256MB RAM
200MB virtual memory
4x CD-ROM
600MB free hard disc space (for the demo only; 4.83 GB for the full game)
100% DirectX 8.1 compatible video card or higher
DirectX 8.1 or higher

DEMO SYSTEM RECOMMENDATIONS
Windows XP
Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or AMD equivalent
512 MB RAM
200MB virtual memory
24x CD-ROM
1 GB free hard disc space (for the demo only; 4.83 GB for the full game)
GeForce FX (any), Radeon 9600, 9700, 9800 or better
DirectX 8.1 or higher
