I believe my copy is under the Christmas tree...its from my dog. Isnt she thoughtful?
Lemme get a few of the SP mission under control and we can hook up in a MP server somewhere. I actually host a Roger Wilco voice comm server from my PC for my Black Hawk Down squad and it is THE way to play MP games...teammates or not. Its up 24/7 and we should meet up there to do alittle exploring/killing...for ole times sake!
Mellie...dont give me any crap about "I dont think my tired old PC wont handle it"....I know youre juiced now...so cough up the $14 for a headset with a boom mike at Walmart so we can hear you swear like a trucker when you get shot.
One disconcerting point though. Let it be known that Ive been playing FPS games as long as quite a few of you have been alive. While Ive known people who experience motion sickness while playing FPS games, I have NEVER experienced it while playing for any length of time...and there have been some marathon sessions!
Fact : I cannot play HL2 for any more than an hour without being on the verge of blowing chunks.
I thought it was just me, until I googled "Nausia Half Life 2" and saw this link amongst many, leading to 100's of posts.
If anyone has any suggestions to help this...im all ears. Playing this game is like reading a good book....you just cant put it down because you have to see what happens next....but Im forced to stop playing before..urp....something....uuuuRRRP...bad happens...BLECHHHHhhhhh
I've experienced no nausia, and I played it for hours straight last night. It's a great game, but right now, I'm wishing there was more enemy variety. I'm on the "Sandtraps" chapter, and I've only encountered 3 basic types of enemies. I started the "Sandtraps" chapter, and found it littered with the enemies from Ravenholm. At that point I just shut the game down because it was getting too monotonous. Hopefully soon I'll see some new twist in the gameplay.
Gorf, if u think HL2 is bad, try the Counterstrike: Source that came with it. I've never become sick from playing a FPS either but CS:S literally made me feel seasick.
The site says "weehah, this that and the other thing are released, all coop, yippee skippee and a llama-whipping good time was had by all" so what I'm wondering is....
Have you tried it? Does it work? And how horrible is it? How hard is it to fight off hackers?
I'll certainly consider acquiring it and we can have some more fun while we wait for a nolf2 coop mod, but I don't want to spend the cash until I've heard one of our regulars review it.
I bought it today
I've been playing for a couple hours, and I haven't even checked the internet for cheats.....yet. It truly is awesome.

Kamman, Isn't it fabulous? This is the most immersive game I have ever played.

Is CS:S any good (despite the nausea )?
