Ok peeps, I have a *wee* bit of belated xmas money burning holes in my pockets. What games are you guys really jazzed about at the moment? Preferably... with COOP or team play...
I'm reconmending Guild Wars because it's a good MMORPG. It requires a lot of Communication and team effort to get through the Quests and Missions. You can get in a Group with people (Guild) and have GvG (Guild Vs. Guilds) with other Guilds.
So... I'm curious how they will roll out the expansion. Will you connect to a different server or will everyone who wants to play have to buy the expansion?
I suppose its possible they could just lock non-Factions clients out of certain areas of the world, too. It will be neat to see how they do it.

Guild Wars Factions is a seperate game from the first game. You will be able to move your characters from the current game onto the new game.
Theres a weekend Beta event during the final weekend in March. I have 3 invitations where you guys can come and check it out for free.

If its NOLF flavored COOP you are looking for...Im afraid the only thing to come close is Joint Ops. I can offer two reasonable facsimilies though....
BF2(and expansions)
While technically NOT a COOP game.....it combines the speed and dexterity requirements of Deathmatch games with "squading up" with 6 of your close buds to kick some human player butt. It is...by far, the most immersive FPS modern warfare game I have found to date and is ( for the moment) my game of choice. Just navigate over to EA's website and stream some of the game footage. I promise you will be speeding down to your local [Insert Retail Game Store Here] to pick up a copy of BF2 and its expansion pack(s)
SWAT4
This is the best COOP game Ive played since NOLF....and it just got a whole lot better due to a newly released expansion pack. New maps, new weaps and apparantly the ability to have a 10 player COOP game ( instead of 5 ) I might have to pick up the ex pack for this and fire it up. I was barely playing the game before with 512m of RAM....but I had to take advantage of the insanely low price and cant wait to see how this game runs with 2g under the hood
yes, those are nice. I haven't beeen able to spring for bf2 yet. i have the demo and it's a lot of fun. serious bandwidth hog though.
i have the swat 4 demo and even did a brief review of it way back when it was fresh. as we speak, since it was super cheap, i have scored the real deal from the pimps at sierra / vu. i don't have the expansion. maybe... just maybe, i can convince you to actually play this one without me having to go double my investment with the expansion right away.
